For the November issue, The Agricultural Economist invites submissions that explore the intersections of agriculture with health, environment, technology, community welfare, and inclusivity. This month’s theme celebrates internationally recognized days throughout November, inspiring articles across the journal’s sections with a focus on building agricultural systems that support resilient, sustainable communities.

The broader theme is "Building Resilient Agricultural Systems for Health, Environment, and Sustainable Communities"

Key Themes and Focus Areas:

  • Health in Agriculture
In connection with World Diabetes Day and World Toilet Day, we welcome articles that delve into the relationship between agriculture and public health. This could include innovations in food production to combat lifestyle diseases like diabetes or strategies to improve sanitation and health facilities for agricultural workers.

  • Science and Technology in Agriculture
In recognition of World Science Day for Peace and Development, we seek pieces discussing the latest research and technological advancements in agriculture. Topics could range from climate-resilient farming methods to eco-friendly agricultural practices that prioritize environmental stewardship.

  • Child and Community Welfare
To honor World Children’s Day, articles focused on rural youth engagement, community development, or educational programs in agriculture are encouraged. These stories can highlight how rural communities are fostering healthy, secure, and prosperous futures for the next generation.

  • Gender and Inclusivity in Rural Development
In observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we invite submissions examining gender equality within agricultural policy, rural development, or initiatives aimed at empowering and safeguarding women in agriculture.

While the above topics align with the November theme, we will continue to accept general submissions on topics that contribute valuable insights into agriculture and rural development.

Submission Guidelines:

Article length: 1,500 to 2,000 words.

Format: Word document, 12 pt font, Times New Roman
