The Agricultural Economist invites contributions for its February edition, focusing on the intersections of economic equity, technological innovation, and sustainable rural development. The general theme is: Equity, Innovation, and Sustainability—The Path to Rural Resilience

Considering global observances this month, we encourage articles that explore:

🔹 Empowering Women in Science & Innovation (Feb 11) – The role of women in agricultural research, rural entrepreneurship, and technological advancements in farming.

🔹 Social Justice in Rural Economies (Feb 20) – Fair labor practices, inclusive agricultural policies, poverty reduction strategies, and equitable access to land and resources.

🔹 Health & Nutrition in Rural Communities – Insights on food security (World Pulses Day – Feb 10), disease prevention (World Cancer Day – Feb 4, International Childhood Cancer Day – Feb 15, Rare Disease Day – Feb 28/29), and the economic impact of health challenges on farming households.

🔹 Education & Information Access – The role of radio (Feb 13) and multilingual education (Feb 21) in promoting rural livelihoods, knowledge sharing, and agricultural extension services.

🔹 Sustainable Agriculture & Environmental Conservation – The significance of wetlands for sustainable farming (Feb 2) and the contribution of pulses to soil health, nutrition, and climate resilience (Feb 10).

We welcome research/review-based articles, policy briefs, case studies, and expert opinions relevant to these topics. Submissions should be insightful, data-driven, and offer practical recommendations for policymakers, researchers, and rural communities.
